Bio:

The target market was specific in The Masons infancy. However, back in November 2018 the newest line up was well under development and as the live work commenced, the band members realised the need for more well-known solid rock classics. The audience dictated what they wanted and The Masons listened. Get them up and keep them moving was the new mantra. History: Starting around 2017 in a rehearsal studio around Abbotsford Melbourne a nameless 4 piece band emerged. The now named “The Masons” has worked through several lineup alterations to secure the best cover band working team. • Singer – Tim Kendall has been singing in bands since high school and has fronted various groups over the journey - most recently collaborating with other musicians and recording locally. Known for his eclectic taste in music, Tim has sung everything from Cat Stevens and America through Santana, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath! • Bass – Greg Hernon playing bass since 1980, influenced by great hard edged rock bands such as AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Van Halen and Rush. In the 1980s, he played in a number of tribute bands and recorded original music with several artists. In the last 10 years he has played with cover bands like Silverchair, Atomic, Radio Rock and eventually a successful band he formed and managed, namely Livewire. He has spent years getting the right punchy bass sound via his classic Rickenbacker. • Guitarist, Louiee Lou’s musical journey spans over 30 years playing everything from Latin/folk, pop, rock’n’roll, blues rock, hard rock, progressive rock, covers and originals, He has also released two solo albums and has worked with some of the industry’s greats (ie, Joey Amenta – “Taste”). His pedigree is undeniable and he brings skills as both a guitarist and vocalist • Drummer - Andrew McDonough began playing live in 1972, he played for Melbourne punk Rock band La-Femme in the 80’s touring the eastern seaboard, promoting various recordings including vinyl “Looking For A Laugh”. Andrew also played with Billy Miller from the Ferrets in various line ups including Billy Miller and the Great Blokes, Billy Miller and the Gypsies touring throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, also played in Cold Crusade, Lethal Dose and Shinbone star blues band. Current: After many months in the studio deciding on the expected covers and developing a specific sounding solid rock grove, The Masons enjoy live shows working the Festivals, clubs and pubs around Melbourne. This constant live work around the pub and club circuit has given The Masons a solid following. In the development, The Masons managed to build well over 60 songs and 4 sets of amazing and popular covers, The Masons are now committed to constant work in metro Melbourne and regionally.
