Brian El Dorado is a Melbourne performing/recording artist, operational firefighter, theatre set builder, parent, partner and youth Basketball Coach. Brian is currently releasing material from his upcoming sixth studio album with his band The Tuesday People.
The album was recorded between Los Angeles and Melbourne throughout 2024/25 with legendary producer and fellow Melbournian Andy Baldwin (Bjork, Morcheeba, Paul Kelly, The Cat Empire).
El Dorado says,
“Working on these two albums with the band and Andy was the most synergistic and collaborative connection I have had with music in the recording studio”.
El Dorado’s musical taste is diverse as evident in his five previous albums and three Ep’s. His band, The Tuesday People, are an eclectic group of accomplished and virtuoso jazz, blues, big band and stalwart rock musicians. The band's sound spans everything from funk, blues, hip hop, rock and soul. This album is another new direction for the songwriter with acoustic guitars, ballads and strings on several songs.
Brian El Dorado and The Tuesday People formed in 2015 in Melbourne, Australia. They released their first album, Eclectric, in 2016, followed by Wildfire (2017), Unofficial After Party (2019), and Let The Blood Run Free (2021). In 2022, they released two 7 inch vinyl singles through Choi Records, the brainchild of Cooking On 3 Burners drummer, Ivan ‘Choi’ Khatchoyan. In 2025 they released 2.22. The first of two albums recorded and mixed during 2045/25.
The band have performed extensively around Melbourne since 2015 including multiple festival performances and a Rural Victorian and East Coast Tour in 2018.
